Bowltiful Moments

Exhibition: Image Harvest | Year: 2024

These illustrations were done as a part of the MFA ILP annual show called Image Harvest. The friendships formed through coming together to have comfort food amidst homesickness, have been an important support system for me. Cooking has an undeniable intimacy and requires hours of working in a harmonious rhythm to master the craft honed and passed through generations. Through this project, I captured my love for food while memorializing the love and warmth I have experienced in a foreign land.

This interactive artwork endeavors to cultivate a profound appreciation for the art of cooking, elevating it to a status equal to, if not greater than, the food it yields. I designed five illustrations that were put together in the book and then separately printed as artwork for the exhibition.
